08 May PEI AWP Offers Support for Additional Protection of Watercourses Through the 2025 Outlet Stabilization Program

The PEI AgriWatershed Partnership offered support to landowners for additional runoff mitigation at the outlets of stabilized concentrated flows through its Outlet Stabilization Program for 2025. Projects included rock chutes, sediment ponds and bank stabilization projects. The program provides up to $5000.00 for outlet stabilization from stabilized concentrated flows. These projects are a last line of treatment for discharge from uplands to watercourses and offer additional protection from runoff. Used in concert with soil conservation measures in the uplands, these outlet projects enhance the functionality of the soil conservation structures.
